Stefan Driessen is a researcher whose work focuses on data product design. His work combines academic rigour with industrial practice and has been validated in several companies in Western Europe. After finishing his PhD, he joined ABN AMRO Bank, where he now works as an Enterprise Data Strategy Advisor.

Ulrich Teufel is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the IT and business sectors. From 1999 to 2019, he made significant contributions in the Aftersales domain, excelling in software development, data warehousing, data modeling, and project management. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to spearhead startup projects and data platform initiatives, culminating in the creation of advanced data analytics platforms.

Since 2019, Ulrich has been at the forefront of IT Enterprise Architecture, focusing on data architecture, data products, and semantic modeling. His innovative approach and deep understanding of data have been instrumental in driving forward-thinking solutions and strategies. He has been instrumental in building a robust Enterprise Architecture community and fostering a collaborative work model. His leadership in planning and executing an annual multi-day internal conference on digital transformation has been pivotal in driving the company’s innovation agenda.

Holger Schwarz is a professor of computer science at the Institute of Parallel and Distributed systems of the University of Stuttgart. His research focus is on the comprehensive management and efficient processing of huge datasets, e.g. in data warehouses, data lakes and data meshes, as well as the modelling and management of corresponding metadata. Furthermore, he is interested in improving analytic processes, e.g., by using advanced methods for data preprocessing and advanced analytics algorithms.

Originally from Italy, he began his studies in Computer Science and Engineering in Genoa. He continued his studies with a master’s degree at Politecnico di Milano in Artificial Intelligence and Big Data. He moved to the Netherlands for my master’s thesis at NXP Semiconductors. After obtaining his master’s degree, he started a Ph.D. at TU/e – JADS in data governance and engineering, in collaboration with NXP Semiconductors.

Andrea Gioia is a Partner and CTO at Quantyca, a consulting company specializing in data management. He is also a co-founder of blindata.io, a SaaS platform focused on data governance and compliance. With over two decades of experience in the field, Andrea has led cross-functional teams in the successful execution of complex data projects across diverse market sectors, ranging from banking and utilities to retail and industry.In his current role as CTO at Quantyca, Andrea primarily focuses on advisory, helping clients define and execute their data strategy with a strong emphasis on organizational and change management issues.

Actively involved in the data community, Andrea is a regular speaker, writer, and author of ‘Managing Data as a Product’. Currently, he is the main organizer of the Data Engineering Italian Meetup and leads the Open Data Mesh Initiative. Within this initiative, Andrea has published the data product descriptor open specification and is guiding the development of the open-source ODM Platform to support the automation of the data product lifecycle.

Andrea is an active member of DAMA and, since 2023, has been part of the scientific committee of the DAMA Italian Chapter.

Dr. Christoph Gröger is Chief Expert for Data & AI at Bosch and enterprise architect in Bosch’s global data strategy team. He is also active as guest researcher and lecturer at the University of Stuttgart. His overall area of expertise is industrial analytics, i.e., data management and data analytics in industrial value creation, with a current focus on data platforms and data strategies.

Pierluigi Plebani is an associate professor at the Politecnico di Milano, where he earned his PhD in information engineering. His research interests focus on trustworthy data sharing, multi-party business process monitoring, and adaptive service-oriented architecture. He is currently the scientific coordinator of the HE-TEADAL project and has also held this role for the H2020-DITAS project, both of which deal with topics related to data sharing.
